Brief History

Founded in 1960, it was approved by North Carolina Board of Education in 1964. Construction of McSwain, West, and Crisp buildings were completed in 1975. Funds were allocated by NC legislature for new developing in 1984 that was completed in 1989. The year 1998 saw a land mark achievement with the opening of Graham county center and Sarah Easley student activity wing.
